I strongly believe that all students can learn and want to learn. As an educator, I believe it is my responsibility to hold high expectations for students and assist them with overcoming challenges to help them be successful both in and out of school. However, I am not naive in realizing that all students do not learn at the same pace or in the same way. Therefore, differentiation of instruction is vital to a successful learning environment. I will ensure that all students have the opportunity to learn by incorporating project based learning activities and cooperative learning groups.
I also believe the greatest gift I can give as an educator is to prepare students to become informed citizens that actively participate and give back to the community. With this in mind, I will continue to be available after school hours to invite students and parents into a welcoming environment for additional support and assistance throughout the school year.
